SITE INFO
The European Documentary Portal is a non-profit site covering the latest news on documentary film from around the world. The site’s main mission is to manage information: to monitor news, press releases, blogs, online film stores, filmmaker websites, and basically anything documentary that appears on the over 6-billion-page experiment called the Internet.
All posts are exclusive to the site (except a few cases, such as film festival press releases and the Amazon synopses in “New DVD releases”) and all sources, quotes and attributions are clearly marked. The portal is read by documentary filmmakers, film enthusiasts and researchers, and other readers interested in unique documentaries. We would welcome ideas about films in production, as well as new films which haven’t yet found a distributor.
